We help individuals see their potential to live up to their promise.
The Judge Dinkins Educational Center believes in the potential of every person to transform themselves, their families, and their community.
In 2021, four members of the Nashville community recognized the need for an organization to serve adolescents who are at risk for a life in the correctional system. Knowing an education can transform a generation, these four founded the Judge Dinkins Educational Center, a juvenile vocational and prevocational center serving members of the community who are at risk of being in or are already in the juvenile or criminal justice system.
Within the next five years, the JDEC will offer classes and internships in pre-construction, automotive repair, and pre-apprenticeship programs. The center will deliver nationally-recognized best practices in the field of vocational training through technology, instruction, faculty, and resources.
